Embed a Lesson in Your LMS

Every lesson on Marketing Teacher can be displayed inside your own virtual learning environment, so your students read it without leaving your course. It takes about a minute, and you don’t need anything from us first — see our permissions and licence statement if your institution asks.

Step 1 — get the lesson’s embed address

Take the lesson’s web address and add ?mt_embed=1 to the end. For example:

https://marketingteacher.com/segmentation/?mt_embed=1

That address shows the lesson on its own — no site navigation, no footer, nothing for your students to wander off into. Just the lesson, and a single line at the bottom saying where it came from.

Step 2 — paste this into your course

Change the address to the lesson you want:

Where to paste it

Menu names move between versions and between institutions, so treat these as a guide rather than exact directions.

  • Canvas — edit a Page, switch the Rich Content Editor to HTML using the </> button at the bottom right, and paste.
  • Blackboard Ultra — create a Document, add a content block, open the source view with the <> button in the editor toolbar, and paste.
  • Moodle — add a Page resource, open the HTML source view with the <> button, and paste.
  • Brightspace (D2L) — create a File, choose Insert Stuff, then Enter Embed Code.
  • Google Classroom — doesn’t support embedding. Post the lesson address as a Material link instead.
If the box comes out empty

Some institutions filter iframes out of the editor for non-administrator roles — Moodle in particular. If your embed saves but shows nothing, that is almost always why, and your learning technologist can allow it. If they can’t, just link to the lesson instead. That works everywhere, and we’re just as glad to have you.

Everything on the For Teachers page downloads as PowerPoint, PDF or PNG and can be uploaded straight into your course — no embedding needed, and it works offline.
