These terms apply when you buy an online course from Marketing Teacher at marketingteacher.com. Please read them before you buy. They do not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
Who we are
Marketing Teacher Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 05936182), whose registered office is at 21 Knott Gardens, Chichester, PO19 3PE, United Kingdom. You can contact us through our contact form.
What you are buying
Each course is a set of online written lessons with quizzes, taken at your own pace. On passing the quizzes you can download a certificate of completion. Courses are delivered digitally through this website — there is nothing to post, and no live teaching, tutoring or personal feedback is included unless a course page says otherwise.
Our certificates
Our certificates record that you completed a Marketing Teacher course and passed its quizzes. They are not an accredited or regulated qualification, they do not carry academic credit, and they are not awarded or endorsed by any university, college or professional body. Course content is written to reflect the topics commonly taught at introductory undergraduate level, but that is a description of the syllabus, not an accreditation.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and are the prices you pay at checkout. Payment is taken by PayPal; we do not see or hold your card details. If your own bank or card issuer applies a currency conversion or international fee, that is between you and them. Your order is confirmed by email once payment has been received.
How long your access lasts
Buying a course gives you access to it for 12 months from the date of purchase. During that time you can work through it as many times as you like, at whatever pace suits you. Download your certificate before your access ends. We will normally remind you by email before the 12 months are up, and you can buy a further period of access if you want to carry on.
Your account
Your account and your course access are for you alone. Please keep your password to yourself and do not share your login. A course bought by one person is not transferable to another.
Cancellation and refunds
Because a course is digital content delivered immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree to getting access straight away.
We will refund you in full within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not started the course. Started means you have opened lessons beyond the first module, or attempted any quiz. This is more generous than we are strictly required to offer once you have consented to immediate access, and it exists so that nobody is stuck with a course that turns out not to be what they expected.
To ask for a refund, contact us through the contact form within 14 days of buying, quoting the email address you bought with. Refunds go back to the PayPal account used for the purchase, normally within five working days.
If a course does not work as described and we cannot put it right, you are entitled to a refund whenever that happens — the 14-day limit does not apply to a course that is faulty.
Institutional and bulk purchases
Schools, colleges, universities and employers can buy places in bulk. Orders for more than 15 learners receive a 10% discount. Bulk places run for 12 months from purchase, like individual places. Each place is for one named learner and cannot be shared between several people, though an institution may reassign an unused place to a different learner before it has been started. Institutional orders are arranged through our contact form.
What you may and may not do with the material
All course material remains our copyright. You may use it for your own study, and teachers may reference it in their own teaching with attribution. You may not copy, republish, resell or redistribute the material, share it in file-sharing groups or paid study-note services, or use it to build a competing course or to train a commercial AI model.
Changes to courses
We improve and update course content over time, and you get those updates at no extra cost while your access lasts. If we ever have to withdraw a course entirely while you still have access to it, we will refund the unused part of what you paid.
Availability
We aim to keep the site available at all times, but we cannot promise it will never be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Where an outage is long enough to matter, we will extend your access to make up for it.
Our responsibility to you
These courses are educational material, not professional advice for a particular business decision. We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our liability to you for any claim connected with a course is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us through the contact form and we will try to put it right. We aim to reply within five working days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in another country, this does not remove any protection you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
